Replacement M5 “d” Shackle
$7.70 (incl. GST)
50 in stock
The M5 “D” Shackles we use are all marine Grade SS316.
They are required when fitting the Ball floats above the pivot arms.
All chain and float kits have a M5 “D” Shackle supplied within the kit.
- 1 x M5 “d” Shackle
Corrosion resistance: Being marine-grade SS316 stainless steel, it won’t rust or degrade easily in wet or exposed settings.
Strength and reliability: Designed to securely hold floats above pivot arms—even under load—without bending or failing.
Exact match: Works seamlessly with Cocky Valve floats and arms using standard M5 connections, so installation is straightforward.
Low maintenance: Robust materials and fit mean less frequent replacement and fewer leaks or failures.
Cost-effective spare: Inexpensive but critical for maintaining proper float operation when original shackles wear or fail.
1. What is the Replacement M5 “D” Shackle used for?
It’s used to attach ball floats above the float arm—holds the float securely in place with a strong connection.
2. What material is this shackle made from?
It is made from marine-grade SS316 stainless steel, which gives excellent corrosion resistance and strength.
3. Why choose the SS316 shackle over cheaper materials?
Because SS316 withstands water, weather, and livestock abuse much better than plated steel or inferior metals, meaning fewer failures or replacements.
4. Is this shackle included in float/chain kits or is it sold separately?
It’s sold separately as a replacement, though similar M5 “D” shackles are included in Float Chain and Short Float Kits.
